Because I don't want to lose this poem, but the original (and to my knowledge only) copy of the poem is on a disintegrating piece of paper I thought I ought save it somewhere...please keep in mind I was in high school when I wrote this:
Time to Mourn:
It is time to mourn,
pull all the stars away.
It is time to mourn
on this glorious day.
The sun is gone
the light has died.
It is time to mourn,
pull all the joy inside.
It is time to mourn.
Let the rivers run dry.
It is time to mourn,
let the wild loon cry.
Cover the sky with clouds.
Let the rain pour down
It it time to mourn
Let the flowers all drown.
It is time to mourn
let nature take note.
It is time to mourn
with no sliver of hope.
Let the blossoms dry up
let leaves fall frail to earth.
It is time to mourn
let there be no more mirth.
It is time to mourn
let this day go to rest
It is time to mourn
life at the end of its quest.
It is time to mourn
pull all the stars away
It is time to mourn
on this glorious day.
