I've decided that I just need to dive in and start writing, because, truthfully, there will be never be a perfect time in my life where I can just sit and write, uniterrupted every day.
There will always be chores to finish, diapers to change, work to do, etc. So, I will need to catch snippets and do my best to write.
Right now the twins are watching twins on tv as we settle down for naps. Naps have become a struggle since we switched to big girl beds. I have realized that I need to get them outside doing something physical. I'm sure this sounds obvious, but the timing has just become apparent to me.
So, today is library Tuesday. Since the girls turned 2 we had to get going a half hour early. It was worth it. Lots of fresh new snow to play in and lots of music and dancing at the library. The girls got to shake the eggs, wave the scarves and just generally have fun.
They are becoming more helpful with each passing day as well. Today they actually did help me unload the dishwasher. They take any and all of their dishes and put them away. They also hand me glasses and bowls.
That's my secret, I think. Getting them too help with chores ensures they know how to do chores and helps me keep on top of housework.
And so my writing time is up, as the girls are needing me again. Hopefully this is the re-start of a new steak of writing.
